With a passion for education and individual success stories, Charles-Emmanuel Ballanger spent 24 years in different positions (from trainer to national manager) with “Maisons Familiales Rurales”, a network of voluntary youth and adult training centres in France. In 2007, he explored new territory by setting up an audio-video company for the private sector. In 2013, Charles-Emmanuel turned his focus back to his personal interests and values – education, solidarity and development – by taking up the post of Director, France/Europe for Aide et Action. Since October 2018, Charles-Emmanuel is also acting director of Aide et Action Switzerland.
Education and Development Cooperation Specialist
Since 2007, Guigone has been engaging with Institutions, Foundations and Companies in support of Aide et Action Suisse’s mission. She provides an expert interface between donors and field teams tasked with programme implementation in our countries of intervention. She trained in Development Studies (Graduate Institute, Geneva) and European Politics (U.L.B., Brussels) and can rely on 15 years of professional experience gained through positions at Handicap International, CARE International and the European Commission. As a volunteer, for two years she contributed time and work to the Geneva Cooperation Federation’s Technical Commission.
Donor Relations and Sponsorships Officer
With a passion for travelling and human relations, Carine has been working for Aide et Action since April 2007. Before that, she accumulated 15 years of experience in the banking sector.
Carine is in charge of the General Public and acts as an efficient liaison between our donors and sponsors and the various projects that they are supporting.
Stefano possesses a BA in Modern and Contemporary History from Queen Mary University of London and an MA in International Relations from the Graduate Institute (IHEID) in Geneva. Following his studies, he has worked for different actors in the philanthropic sector in Geneva, notably for SwissFoundations, the association of Swiss grant-making foundations. Stefano joined Aide et Action in 2016 and currently serves the association as a fundraising officer.
Ibrahima trained as an accountant at Cheik Anta Diop University, Dakar. He also holds a B.A. degree in finance and administration from the Dakar Superior Institute of Management (ISM). Since 2002, he has been working in various accounting positions for the organisation, first at the Senegal Office then at the African Regional Office (2003) before moving on the International Office in 2011. Since 2015, he also works part-time at the Swiss Office. Ibrahima cares deeply about the cause of universal education for children and commits his skills to the fulfilment of Aide et Action’s vision, which he sees as the only way to put children at the centre of human development.
