Because education changes the world!

Today, 61 million children are not going to school and 758 million adults are illiterate.

The poverty of families, remoteness from school, lack of trained teachers, lack of equipment, being a female (early marriage and pregnancy, school insecurity), preventable diseases, necessary migration to survive, natural disasters…. all these elements combine to deprive millions of quality education.

And yet...

  • Education is a fundamental right recognised by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
  • Education is the key to countries' economic, social and sustainable development.
  • Education fosters human development and gives each person the power to make free choices.
